Tribute to Our National
Bird on American Eagle Day
The Bald Eagle is a bird of prey found in North America.
It is the national bird and symbol of the United States of
America.
America added the Bald Eagle as the main image in its national
emblem on June 20, 1782.
The Senate and House of Representatives have resolved to
recognize American Eagle Day every 20th of June and it has so
far been proclaimed in 41 states.
