Top 50 Boys Names in the U.S.



The Social Security Administration released it's annual list of the top baby names being chosen in the United States.  The biggest surprise was the appearance of a Star Wars name - 'Anakin'.  While it didn't crack the top 50, it manage to enter the top 1,000 list of most popular names coming in at #957.  218 baby boys were given the name of Anakin.

In Star War lore, Anakin Skywalker was once a promising Jedi knight who became the evil Darth Vader.  He is also the father of Luke Skywalker.
