A Horrible Dishonor to Fallen Heroes at Dover

Whistleblower sources at the Dover Air Force mortuary went to the press that for much of the past ten years, the bodies of some troops killed in action in Iraq and Afghanistan were mishandled and even mutilated at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware.

The details are gut wrenching.

Body parts of troops killed in action were lost at the Dover mortuary at least twice, and workers on the base sawed a Marine’s corpse to better fit him into his uniform before a viewing by his family.

Until now, families of the fallen never knew any of this.

Defense Secretary Leon Panetta said Thursday that harsh criticism of the Air Force's investigation of lost body parts at Dover prompted him to order the Air Force to consider imposing stronger punishment on those responsible.
